Accenture Awarded Outstanding Contribution to Regulatory Reforms

Singapore/Hong Kong, 14 November 2023 – Accenture has received the Outstanding Contribution to Regulatory Reforms award in the 6th Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2023 at an in-person ceremony on 14 November 2023.

This award recognises initiatives, projects, firms, or solutions that have substantially impacted or advanced regulatory reforms aimed at promoting market integrity, financial system stability, or industry resilience to risk.

Accenture was recognised for its collaboration with regulators and industry practitioners to shape the Responsible AI journey for Singapore, including work on the Veritas Initiative to develop and promote regulatory standards for the responsible use of artificial intelligence and data analytics.

Accenture is a core member of the initiatives to develop the FEAT (Fairness, Ethics, Accountability and Transparency) assessment methodologies and the Veritas Toolkits for assessing model fairness. It has also worked with financial institutions on integrating the Veritas Methodology, and is now working with regulators and industry to extend Responsible AI to cover generative AI.

Judges on the Regulation Asia awards panel commended Accenture for its significant contributions to improving industry practices, enhancing standards and strengthening governance around the responsible use of AI in Singapore’s financial industry. “Accenture has been instrumental in developing Singapore into a world leader in Responsible AI, creating a framework that financial firms can use across geographies to govern their use of AI,” said one judge on the awards panel.
