Submission Process

The Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2020 is now open for submissions.

Entrants can apply for as many award categories as they like. Our evaluation team reserves the right to assess the submissions for their suitability in each category, and decide to have them judged in a different or, in some cases, multiple categories. Not all awards categories will have a winner declared.

To encourage submissions, we do not ask for exhaustive detail of your projects at the entry stage. New for this year, we have created an online form to facilitate the submission process. We encourage you to provide supporting documentation to the supplied email.

The Regulation Asia editorial team will review the submissions and shortlist the best candidates in each category. Shortlisted companies may be interviewed and additional supporting documents may be requested on a case by case basis, in order to obtain a more detailed picture of the strengths and weaknesses of each entrant or project, and enable a clearer comparison between submissions.

An external panel of judges comprising market participants, industry associations, independent consultants, and other subject-matter experts will then evaluate and score each submission to determine the winners. In some categories, a voting mechanism may be adopted. Each judge will make their assessments independently, and only in the categories where conflicts are confirmed to not be present.

For the best chance of winning, entrants should make sure to showcase in each submission everything they are most proud of from the past 12 months – including client wins and testimonials, the application of new technologies and workflows, or specific projects that meet the requirements of a specific regulatory change.

A combination of breadth and depth of information will be helpful to our judging panel. This can include graphs, tables, or other data visualisations that illustrate the strengths of a solution or service targeting a regulatory need.

All information submitted will be treated in strict confidence during the assessment stage. Award winners may later be asked for on-the-record comments that can be used in press announcements once the winners have been determined.
