Singapore/Hong Kong, 14 November 2019 – Fenergo has won Best Solution in Regulatory Change Management and was highly commended in the Customer Onboarding category in the 2nd Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2019 at a ceremony in Singapore on 13 November 2019.
In the Regulatory Change Management category, Fenergo was selected by judges as the winner for its regulatory rules engine, which brings together in a single repository all the content, intelligence and rules required to support best practice compliance with global AML/KYC, tax, OTC derivatives and market reform regulations. The regulatory rules engine is in use as part of the client onboarding process at 70 banks – including four of the world’s top ten.
The solution makes determinations on which regulations are in-scope for a particular firm based on key inputs such as client type, role, jurisdiction, products, and booking entity. The data and documentation required to support and evidence the determination is also provided.
Further, the solution features a centralised client and counterparty master data management module to help banks acquire, validate, store and distribute client data across product, business lines and jurisdictions. This enables existing client data and documentation to be re-used for new regulatory obligations.
Fenergo was also highly commended in the category of Best Solution for Customer Onboarding, a further testament to its intelligent rules-driven client lifecycle management solution and ability to help firms navigate multiple regulatory frameworks.
The onboarding portion of the solution streamlines the collection, centralisation and sharing of client and counterparty data and documentation across an institution, achieving faster onboarding and time to revenue while also enhancing the client experience.
