Singapore/Hong Kong, 15 December 2020 – IHS Markit has won Best Solution in Trade Reporting, and was highly commended in two other categories, LIBOR Transition Management and Corporate Actions & Reporting, in the 3rd Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2020 in an online ceremony on 15 December 2020.
In the highly competitive Trade Reporting category, IHS Markit emerged as the winner for its Integrated Reporting solution, a one-stop, cross-asset solution that helps firms meet their global trade reporting requirements. The solution integrates all upstream platforms – including IHS Markit, third party solutions and clients’ specific internal systems – to deliver a complete reporting workflow for clients across their submission, data management, reporting reconciliation and monitoring tools.
The IHS Markit Integrated Reporting solution supports all asset classes as well as valuation and collateral reporting across multiple jurisdictions. It also features monitoring tools designed to help clients identify and resolve reporting issues, among other features. The solution is used by more than 2.000 financial firms of all sizes – including almost all swap traders. Early in 2020, IHS Markit announced the acquisition of Catena Technologies, which will serve to ultimately provide clients greater integration of transaction reporting with other post-trade and compliance workflows.
“What differentiates Integrated Reporting from its competition is its ability to integrate into MarkitSERV and other third-party trade confirmation platforms, which allows our process to capture more trade data,” said an asset manager using the IHS Markit reporting solution. “This integration eliminates the need to collect bespoke data directly from the broker-dealer.”
In the LIBOR Transition Management category, IHS Markit was recognised for Outreach360, a robust, centralised client outreach platform designed to create, manage, send, track and store client outreach information and communications within a secure, automated environment. Outreach360 allows banks to engage with counterparties about required contractual changes related to LIBOR and other IBORs to enable the generation, dissemination and negotiation of amendments directly on the platform, thereby streamlining the repapering workflow.
“Outreach360 is a very comprehensive workbench,” said one judge on the awards panel. “It provides a lifecycle workflow to drive change across the finish line with documentation management, negotiation support, and correspondence aggregation, to name a few key components that make it an effective tool supporting LIBOR transition efforts.”
In the Corporate Actions & Reporting category, IHS Markit was recognised for Managed Corporate Action (MCA), a service that streamlines the collection, validation, and dissemination of corporate actions data on over 4 million securities across asset classes and 170 countries and territories, with full details, in real time. The solution allows firms to ensure they have access to accurate, complete and timely corporate actions data, without the risks of errors or delays, in line with regulations such as SRDII.
