Singapore/Hong Kong, 14 November 2019 – Emotics has been recognised as ‘One to Watch’ in the Regtech category for Compliance Analytics in the 2nd Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2019 at a ceremony in Singapore on 13 November 2019.
The ‘One to Watch’ designation is intended to recognise firms for pioneering innovative technologies that solve some of the industry’s biggest regulatory challenges, but are either in an early stage of industry adoption or have a relatively new product or solution.
The judging panel decided to recognise Emotics for its innovative approach to compliance training engagement analytics, which combines browser analytics with facial recognition and micro-expression analysis to provide insights into employee behaviour. The solution analyses 840,000 data points during each one-hour of online training to verify employee identities, track engagement and participation, and highlight key gaps in training modules.
The technology is significant given that “current approaches to training process have been largely ineffective”, said one judge. “The solution will help to enhance the effectiveness of online training, improve organisational culture and – ultimately – reduce risks.”
Founded just two years ago, Emotics has now integrated its compliance analytics technology at global clients Mercedes Benz Financial Services and Bupa, as well as with compliance training firms Intuition and Thomson Reuters. In addition, Emotics is leveraging a new partnership with KPMG to achieve international scale more rapidly, expanding to other regulated industries.
