S&P Global Sustainable1 Awarded Best ESG Data & Analytics Solution

Singapore/Hong Kong, 14 November 2023 – S&P Global Sustainable1 was awarded Best ESG Data & Analytics Solution in the 6th Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2023 at an in-person ceremony on 14 November 2023.

This award recognises data providers that excel in collecting, aggregating, and disseminating ESG information companies disclose through various channels, also considering the accuracy and reliability of data, rigour of quality controls, verification processes, comprehensiveness of coverage, and ability to support sustainable investment decision-making.

S&P Global Sustainable1 was recognised for its S&P Global ESG Score and Raw Data packages, which empower clients to accurately assess the ESG credentials of public as well as private companies, enhancing transparency on corporate sustainability performance and helping to fulfil specific ESG-related regulatory mandates, globally.

The Raw Data offering provides up to 1,000 data points per company per methodology year across 13,000 companies, offering high-quality, granular information to support decision-making and reporting. The ESG Scores are generated using the underlying raw data, allowing users to apply distinct materiality weighting schemes and integrate the outputs into existing workflows, thematic analysis, and advanced disclosure analysis, among other use cases.

The Regulation Asia Awards judging panel credited S&P Global Sustainable1 for the comprehensiveness of its ESG data and the robustness of its data collection mechanisms. One judge said “the combination of ESG scores, raw data and related analytics significantly enhance the usefulness” of the solution in underpinning sustainable investment decisions.
