HONG KONG, 5 November 2026 – Eventus, for its Validus platform, has won Best Market, Trade or Communications Surveillance Solution for the third consecutive year at the ninth annual Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence, presented at The St. Regis Hong Kong.
Eventus wins for the depth of trade surveillance on its Validus platform, with twelve abuse typologies each backed by a stated detection mechanism, disciplined false-positive management and the January 2026 release of Validus 2.0. Eventus has clients on six continents surveilling multiple asset classes, including 30 active clients in the Asia-Pacific region, ranging from brokerage firms to proprietary trading firms and digital asset marketplaces. More than half of Eventus’ new global clients have a presence in APAC.
As with every returning winner, the panel judged this year's entry on its own merits rather than on past results. This award recognises the solution that best detects market abuse and misconduct, such as spoofing, insider dealing and manipulation, across trading and communications, with cross-market coverage and adaptability to new rules. Judges assessed entries on detection efficacy across market-abuse typologies, coverage of trading and communications, false-positive management, and adaptability to new conduct rules.
“Eventus offers the best balance of detailed abuse detection, multi-asset scale, explainable alert automation and material advances over the past twelve months,” said a member of the independent judging panel.
“Surveillance teams need to know why an alert fired. Eventus backed every abuse typology with a clear detection mechanism, and managed false positives with discipline,” said Bradley Maclean, Chair of the Awards Committee, Regulation Asia.
“Market participants across the Asia-Pacific region face increased scrutiny of market conduct, supervisory controls, algorithmic trading, cross-market manipulation and alert governance. These firms often trade across multiple venues, asset classes, desks and jurisdiction, making it extremely difficult to maintain consistent and robust surveillance for those companies using fragmented or legacy systems. We’re delighted to earn another Regulation Asia Award for solving the challenges encountered by our clients conducting business in the region through a single, configurable surveillance environment,” said Eventus CEO Cameron Routh.

About the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence
Now in their ninth year, the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence recognise achievements advancing regulatory practice across Asia-Pacific.
The judging process involves an independent panel of senior industry practitioners and the Awards Committee. Entries are assessed against published, award-specific criteria covering Asia-Pacific relevance and material developments in the twelve months to 30 June 2026. Awards are granted against a defined standard rather than relative to other entries.
Judging decisions are independent of editorial and commercial operations. There is no entry, shortlisting or winner fee, and commercial relationships do not influence results.
