Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) has won Regulatory Innovation Project of the Year at the ninth annual Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence, presented at The St. Regis Hong Kong.
HONG KONG, 5 November 2026 – Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) has won Regulatory Innovation Project of the Year at the ninth annual Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence, presented at The St. Regis Hong Kong.
Working with MAS, SGX RegCo structured a streamlined listing process that synchronised settlement structures, public fundraising mechanics and critical transaction milestones between Nasdaq and SGX. This harmonised process now allows issuers to execute simultaneous listings and fundraising using one single prospectus on both SGX and Nasdaq, all within seven months of the initial announcement.
SGX RegCo is part of SGX Group, which was named Exchange of the Year in the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2024.
This award recognises an organisation's standout initiative, at proof of concept or newly live, that solves a real regulatory, risk or compliance problem in a novel way. Judges assessed projects on the significance of the problem addressed, originality of approach, measurable impact or proof-of-concept potential, and execution and scalability.
“SGX RegCo showed unprecedented cross-border regulatory harmonisation with this initiative, importing US disclosure standards and safe harbours into Singapore's framework,” said a member of Regulation Asia's independent judging panel.
“Cross-border listings have long meant duplicated documents and cost. SGX RegCo removed that duplication with an original approach, delivered quickly,” said Nick Wakefield, Co-founder, Regulation Asia.
About the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence
Now in their ninth year, the Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence recognise achievements advancing regulatory practice across Asia-Pacific.
The judging process involves an independent panel of senior industry practitioners and the Awards Committee. Entries are assessed against published, award-specific criteria covering Asia-Pacific relevance and material developments in the twelve months to 30 June 2026. Awards are granted against a defined standard rather than relative to other entries.
Judging decisions are independent of editorial and commercial operations. There is no entry, shortlisting or winner fee, and commercial relationships do not influence results.
