Shield was Highly Commended in the Best Market, Trade or Communications Surveillance Solution category at the 8th Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2025.

Shield has received the Highly Commended recognition in the Best Market, Trade or Communications Surveillance Solution category at the 8th Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2025, which was celebrated at an in-person ceremony on 10 November 2025.

This award recognises top-tier surveillance solutions that protect market integrity by detecting manipulative behaviours, abusive trading, and compliance breaches. The judges looked for platforms that excel in identifying threats, maintaining low false positives, and adapting to evolving regulations, setting a benchmark for global capital market surveillance.

Shield was recognised in this highlighy competitive category for its innovative platform specialising in digital communications surveillance. The solution leverages advanced AI to monitor a growing and divergent array of communication tools, including region-specific channels like WeChat and WhatsApp. Key features that stood out include its 'AmplifAI' layer, which enhances detection and drives productivity, and its flexible 'Bring Your Own Model' (BYOM) capability, allowing firms to integrate their own proprietary models.

“Shield has carved out an impressive and critical niche in digital communications surveillance, an area of growing risk and complexity for financial institutions,” said one judge on the Regulation Asia Awards panel. “Their use of GenAI and an agentic tool for querying data is a great application of AI that significantly improves efficiency. We were particularly impressed by Shield’s ability to significantly reduce false positives and increase alert relevancy, and their clear focus on the APAC region with a dedicated Singapore support centre.”

The solution was also praised by judges for its ability to help firms address a wide array of risks, from market misconduct and insider trading to internal fraud, by effectively monitoring modern communication platforms.
