Synergy Consulting Group has received Rising Star recognition in the Regulatory Advisory Firm of the Year, Consultancy category at the ninth annual Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence, presented at The St. Regis Hong Kong.

HONG KONG, 5 November 2026 - Synergy Consulting Group has received Rising Star recognition in the Regulatory Advisory Firm of the Year, Consultancy category at the ninth annual Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence, presented at The St. Regis Hong Kong.

The recognition acknowledges SCG's work as a specialist regulatory and corporate advisory consultancy supporting financial-services, fintech and digital-asset businesses with complex regulatory, licensing, risk and compliance requirements across Asia-Pacific and international financial centres.

During the year under review, SCG's ten-person team secured 17 client authorisations. A company within the SCG group also obtained a Hong Kong Trust or Company Service Provider (TCSP) licence in May 2026, expanding the firm's ability to provide corporate implementation support in-house.

SCG advises on regulatory-perimeter and licensing assessments, jurisdictional analysis, licence and registration applications, and the development of AML/KYC, compliance and governance frameworks. Its corporate and operational services include cross-border structuring, entity formation, TCSP and company-secretarial support, and assistance with banking and payment-provider onboarding.

This integrated model gives clients a coordinated point of support across regulatory, corporate and operational work. It is particularly relevant for founders and specialist businesses without large in-house legal, compliance or operations teams. SCG's boutique structure allows senior team members to remain closely involved throughout each mandate, providing clients with continuity, responsiveness and practical guidance.

“Seventeen client authorisations in a year from a ten-person team is a record many larger firms would envy. Synergy Consulting Group earned this recognition,” said Bradley Maclean, Chair of the Awards Committee, Regulation Asia.

“Our clients often come to us with business models that raise regulatory and operational questions across several jurisdictions. Our role is to turn those questions into a workable path covering structure, licensing, governance and ongoing compliance. This recognition reflects the care our team brings to each mandate and the trust our clients place in us,” said Lisa Wu, Founder of Synergy Consulting Group.

SCG plans to continue expanding its regulatory and implementation capabilities across the region while retaining the responsiveness of a specialist consultancy.
